Meetings and Training Opportunities


Statewide Board, Commission and Council meetings provide a forum for parents and professionals to gather information and may also provide an opportunity to give input and testimony that could impact systems.

First 5 California Commission

Interagency Coordinating Council on Early Intervention

The Interagency Coordinating Council on Early Intervention (ICC) meets quarterly to provide advice and assistance to the Department of Developmental Services concerning the statewide system of early intervention. The ICC also provides a forum for public input from parents, services providers, service coordinators, and others about federal, state and local policies that support the timely delivery of appropriate early intervention services. SEECAP provides professional development events for families and professionals.


Strategies, funded by the California Department of Social Services, Office of Child Abuse Prevention, offers training and technical assistance to family resource centers (FRCs) and family support programs (FSPs) throughout California.

West Ed

WestEd’s Center for Prevention & Early Intervention provides nationally-recognized training, technical assistance and resources for successful education, special education, early intervention, and child care.
